Non District Pct. = .667,
District Pct. = .500
(Pct. = Total games won divided by
games played) remember a tie counts as 1/2 game ie. 12 game season, 9 wins,
2 loss, 1 tie the math (9.5/12= .79166666) which would be Pct. = .792

May 22, Game 12
Springtown Scrappers: It was a fun game for all the smiles I saw on their
faces. Both defense and offense look great! It was hard to tell how well we
could have played with that long 7 day layoff of no games or practice so our
first inning was slow to start and then they stepped up and played ball.
|
|
May 20, Game 11
Springtown Rattlers: Game forfeit, not enough player to show up.
|
|
May 17, Game 10
Springtown Mudcats: Another great game by both teams. Scrapper defense was
doing a great job. Offense we the final score speaks for that 15-3.
|
|
May 13, Game 9
Rangers: This game was a spectators game for sure, up, down, up, down,
roller costar ride for sure. The Rangers play was nice, short stop made a
great catch on Michaels' line drive. Defense errors bit us on this game.
Offensive batting was on the OK side of things not the best I have seen from
our Scrappers. In short this game should have been ours to own instead we
allowed it to be a close game.
|
|
May 8, Game 8 ST
Raptors: That's the Scrapper defense I love to see, what a game!!! Everyone
was hitting too, only 4 strikeouts for the game. Just so you know even
though we were holding the kids up the batting score card was marked for
where they would have made it with no change of errors. You could tell the
kids were just playing and having fun. Proves my point on any given day
Pinto age can show up to play or not.

|
May 5, Game 7
Wildcats:
Well the Wildcats took home the win after a full six innings of play.
Several time the Scrappers had the change to win the game and let the
Wildcats slide. The Wildcats shortstop put the stop on our winning run, hats
off to him, what a play. All things considered we should have walked off
with that win, the Wildcats just wanted it more. For the game we only had 5
strikeouts which mend they had to throw us out much much better.

|
April 24, Game 6
Wildcats:
Hats off to the Wildcats!! What game, we messed up they capitalized and when
they messed up we capitalized. Back and forth the game. Our defense wasn't
at it's best combine that with a team that's putting the ball in play can
make for a wild game. Offense, our big bats just wasn't there last night we
played small ball and managed to pull it off. Three of our outs were umpire
bad calls because of the spot on the field where his was located(base ump).
One of which we got back with Ryan on first. As a coach when a bad call
happens you look at the other umpire to see if they was watching the play,
only the one with Ryan was the home plate umpire looking at the bad call
made. This is the reason I don't appeal ever bad call, and we had a few last
night.
|
|
April 17, Game 5
Rangers:
Well off to a good start and then the storm came in, with a rain delay and
then the game was called do to rain. So for the game is marked as a
suspended game and will resume play at a later date.
|
Suspended game
was finished with a bang! The Scrappers jumped on the Ranger 5 runs in
the bottom of the 3rd inning and halted them to 0 score in the top of
the 3rd and gave up only one run in the 5th leaving the final score 12-7
for a big win over the Rangers before this game, a Lake Worth undefeated
team.

|
April 12, Game 4 ST Rockhounds: Another Great game to both teams!! Juan from the Wildcats
team saved the day with his pitching (Thanks Juan!!). Both of our pitchers were out and I
hurt myself night before the game and was having a bad time pitching. The
Springtown Rockhounds only had 5 strikeouts for the game so our defense had
to make the outs and what a job they did. Only a few errors on the defense
and two double plays. Offense not bad 9 strikeouts some of which was my
pitching (3) so no complains. The team is hitting, notice the team average is on
the rise. I was the LW Ranger play after us and the Muckdogs bet them 16-0
we have them next Thursday
|
|
April 10, Game 3 Wildcats: Great Game to both teams!!! The Wildcats didn't bring
their A game last night and the Scrappers did. Only 8 strike out for the
night and 12 runs later the Scrappers go home with the big W. Defense was
much better more focused on the plays to be made and they made them. Turning
a double play on a pop fly and catching the runner off the bag.
|
|
April 4, Game 2
Rangers:
The Rangers have some great hitters, we didn't see how much defense they
have because we just couldn't put the ball in play, 14 strike outs for this
game. Before game, during our batting warm up they looked OK, I think we are
still having some game jiggers. Our defense is coming around just the normal
pinto errors of not getting the gloves down in the dirt and scooping the
ball.

|
March 27, Game 1
ST Muckdogs:
First game of the season. All things consider it when well, 7 day layoff
showed big time. The Muckdogs from Springtown played fairly well the whole
game, and we didn't show up to play until the 6 inning. For those whom don't
know the 6 inning is what they call an open inning where you can score as
many runs as possible. This game and it's results tells us one thing lots
more batting practice. Defense was so so could have been a little better and
will get better for sure.
